Large quantity of Eritrea incense grains, to be burned in hanging incense burners suitable for grains, known from the church. Also fit for burning on the sieve incense burners or directly on (special) charcoal. Pay close attention to your safety with the latter and use pliers if possible. When used directly on charcoal, a lot of smoke can arise, if you do not want this, use a burner. The grains are burned in combination with a (special) coal in hanging incense burners or by a flame under a sieve (tea light). A wonderful scent is then released and fills the space where you are.

However, burning incense is more than just spreading a pleasant scent into your home. It is an age-old ritual. According to the ritual, herbs help to clean your house of spirits and/or negative energy. They also make you relax, ideal for meditation. They are said to draw happiness your way.

Loose incense, or incense grains

Incense contains essential oils, dried flowers and herbs and/or tree resins. Loose incense, also known as incense grains, that really consists 100% of loose grains, are made from tree resin only. This form is the purest form of incense.

Grain incense is burned in different beliefs and cultures, for example to purify churches and temples or to cover up odours. It was also seen as very precious; in the Christian faith the three kings gave incense and myrrh to Jesus at his birth.
