Wooden Chakra Horn.
Description
This bright coloured musical instrument is in fact a didgeridoo, an Australian, Aboriginal wind instrument. When we first look at it, it reminds us the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. These 7 colours actually represent the 7 chakras, who have each their own symbol. This handmade wooden chakra horn can be used as an instrument but is also very decorative in any home.
What are the 7 chakras?
Each chakra stands for a centre of activity in the body that can receive, align and deliver energy. You have the root Chakra (red), the sacral, the solar plexus, the heart, the throat, the 3d eye and the crown (violet or gold) chakras, going from the end of this chakra horn to the beginning where you blow in the horn. All chakras have a different meaning, for example the 4th chakra (green) is where your love, compassion, and kindness are empowered.
Chakras were originally part of an Indian tradition, but are nowadays used a lot in meditation, yoga and Ayurveda. In these activities, people try to rebalance their 7 chakras. This wooden chakra horn therefore is a kind gift to friends who meditate or practice yoga / Ayurveda. They certainly know all about chakras and will appreciate the thoughtful present. It is not only very symbolic, but also very nice to look at.
