What is guided meditation?
Meditation is an ancient concentration exercise. By turning completely inward, a concentration arises that leads to a state of deep relaxation. But how do you start meditating, and what is guided meditation?
Because there are various reasons for meditating, there is a different way for each person to achieve complete relaxation. Whether it is necessary for a better night's sleep or to let go of certain feelings, doing a guided meditation brings you closer to yourself and naturally teaches you how to deal with these feelings.
Relaxation Meditation
To be able to relax after a busy day, it is important to clear your mind. However, this will not be achieved by simply thinking that your mind needs to be clear. In fact, by doing so, you are essentially adding another thought.
By ‘simply’ starting to focus on your breathing and the sounds around you, your concentration will gradually shift to that. Still unable to clear your mind? Then try visualizing your breathing. This way, you can view your breathing as a movement of the breath. Guided meditation for sleeping
If you have trouble falling asleep, a guided meditation is highly recommended. This can also be done by lying flat on your back and applying the previously mentioned exercises. If it is still difficult to perform the relaxation meditation, this can also be done with a guide. This can involve music or a guiding voice. This helps you stay focused. By repeating this often, it will become easier to meditate independently in the future.
