Neti

Within the Ayurveda, Neti refers to the rinsing of the nose. Deep free breathing is essential for the well-being of the body and mind. It keeps the head cool and supplies the body with oxygen, while waste is removed again with every exhalation. Conversely, the effect of narrowed breathing is underestimated. Cleaning the upper respiratory tract, the nasal cavities of stuck mucus, dust and allergens by flushing with a neti pot can be a liberating solution.

Rinse of the nose

Within the Ayurveda, rinsing the nose is as common as brushing your teeth. The method can be used both preventively and for healing. The use of an isotonic or physiological saline, Himalayan salt or sea salt is strongly recommended, together with sterile water (or boiled and cooled down tap water).

Use of neti pot

You fill the neti pot with lukewarm water and saline and turn the head to the side. You let the saline flow through one nostril and let it flow out through the other nostril again. After this you blow the nose to make sure that the remaining fluid disappear.

It is a ceramic nose rinsing jug and is available in several colors. In addition, it is dishwasher-compatible.
