Palo santo, purifying Holy wood

You must have heard of Palo Santo. Everyone knows Palo Santo. Maybe not by name, but at least because the fragrance is often used in some Finnish sauna’s or for home fragrances or massage oils. The smell comes from the Palo Santo wood that grows in South America. It’s a special kind of wood for its smoke purifies the environment when you burn it. The fragrance is earthly and natural, but mystic at the same time. That makes Palo Santo a popular and saleable product in our wholesale and so it will for you.

Palo Santo literally means holy wood and is, just as white sage, originate from the native Indians in South America. Centuries ago they already used it during ceremonies to clear the aura and to heal from negative influences. In Europe too, people choose to buy the holy wood to clean their houses or just for the fragrances in its purest form. The fragrance can be described as a warm, wooden and lightly aroma with a sweet touch that sometimes slip trough. In comparison with white sage (that is also used for the same purpose), Palo Santo gives off a very mild odor. We can’t imagine anybody who wouldn’t be charmed by the natural and therefore spiritual smell.

Did you know that healing effects are also attributed to the Palo Santo wood? Therefore some people chew on the wood too. The chewing works in a meditative way and creates soothing mood. The tree is related to the Boswelia-tree, family of the trees that procreate myrrh and incense. The purifying and healing effects are kind of a family- characteristic, you can say.

The Palo Santo wood Eastern Trading Agencies uses is originated from Peru and Ecuador. The harvest of the wood we sell in our wholesale is checked by the local government. The trees are very rare and therefore they are not cut down. We only take from the wood of fallen trees to reap and sell. You find the holy wood in the following forms:

• Wooden sticks ( thick and thin), suitable for burning;
• Grinded;
• Snippets (chips).
